He was a member of National Speleogical Society and of Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International Union Local 347. He worked at Quaker Oats for 28 years.
Wilbur enjoyed trips with his family, camping, caving, geocaching, metal detecting and attending auctions.
Wilbur married Julia Ann (Farris) Isom on June 28, 1997, in Benson Chapel.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Haley and Caroline, his mother Charlotte J. Isom, a sister, Dianna Lutes and her husband, John, and a nephew, Preston Lutes.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Duane Isom, an infant brother and an infant sister.
