Mr. Jackson Dee Wilkes, son of the late Nannie Emma Boswell-Wilkes and John Littleton Wilkes. Was born April 7, 1916 in Noxapater, Winston, Mississippi, United States.


Jackson served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was active service with Battery B of the 935th Field Artillery in Africa, Italy, France, and Germany. From April 28, 1941 to November 2, 1946. At Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center in Mississippi, United States. He was about 6 feet tall, had blue eyes and blonde hair.


Jackson met Birdie Shaw. They got married January 24, 1948 in Louisville, Winston, Mississippi, United States. Together, they had a son, named John Henry Wilkes. They lived their lives as extensive farmers. Growing cotton and breeding of pure bred cattle.


Jackson passed away on May 20, 1984, at the earthly age of 68 years old.


His body was put to rest at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Plattsburgh, Winston, Mississippi, United States.
