Wynola M. Evans, 88, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Westcliff Bible Church, 5300 Amarillo Blvd. West with Steve Waterhouse officiating. Interment will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Debolt Cemetery, Arnett, OK. Arrangements are under the personal care of LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter Street.

Wynola was born June 16, 1930 in Arnett, Oklahoma to Jacob Verlin and Iva Ruth (Cox) Hosier. She attended Arnett High School. She married Dan Evans in 1971 in Corpus Christi. She and Dan spent years as members of the Good Sam Club. They enjoyed camping together. Dan and Wynola joined Westcliff Bible Church in Amarillo and she still attended there 30 years later. Dan preceded her in death in 2004 after 33 years of marriage. Wynola also enjoyed bowling in her youth and she had a talent for crocheting. She was a dog-lover who enjoyed her furry companions for years.

Wynola was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Dan and a nephew, Gary Harbison.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Polly Grice; one brother, Charles Shahan; her nephew, Robbie Harbison and close family friend whom she considered a nephew, Kyle McFarren. She is also survived by a niece, Jackie Harbison and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Meals-on-Wheels of Amarillo, BSA Hospice or Westcliff Bible Church.
