She is the daughter of the late Daniel Addison 'Dan' Pelphrey and Emma [Phelps] Pelphrey.
She was a homemaker, a member of the Montcoal Presbyterian Church and was active in many civic affairs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis A. Mooney.
Survivors include three sons, Dennis Michael Mooney, Phillip Douglas Mooney (wife Carol), and John H. Mooney (wife Deanna); daughter, Frances Sleeth; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Service at 1:00 p.m. July 17, 1999 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Prosperity, with Pastor Roger Pauley officiating. Entombment in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum No. 2 at Prosperity, West Virginia.
