A Baptist, she retired from Adams-Millis Hosiery and as owner and operator of A&R Truck-
ing. She was preceded in death by a brother, Buddy Joe Young; and a sister, Muriel Henne-
berry.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Alfred "Joe" Setzer; a son and daughter-in-law,
Ronnie and Dreama Setzer of Hickory; a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Eddie Single-
ton of Hickory; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Hazel Bailey and Doris Barger of Hickory
and Faye and Robert Beane of Hildebran; a grandson and his fiancee, Joey Setzer and A-
manda Perkey of Hickory; two granddaughters, Traci Singleton and Alicia Singleton of
Hickory; a great-granddaughter, Morgan Setzer of Hickory; and two stepgreat-grandsons,
Matthew Perkey and Samuel Perkey of Hickory.
The funeral will be conducted by the Rev. Phillip Latta at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Bass-Smith
Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Joey Setzer, Eddie Singleton, Michael Cultrera, Johnny Setzer, Robert
Setaer and Derrick Hubbard. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 tonight.
