Mrs. Rachel O. Coleman, age 94 of Jonesboro, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, February 13, 2019. Mrs. Coleman was a kind an gentle lady who had a great sense of humor and enjoyed laughing and spending time with her friends and family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was a faithful Christian who served her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with her whole heart.
Friends may visit with the family 5:00PM ~ 8:0PM Thursday, February 14, 2019 at the North Hodge First Assembly of God Church. Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Friday at the church with Reverend Geary Phillips and Reverend Rick Cole officiating. Interment will be at Old Saline Cemetery under the directon of Southern Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Lavelle Coleman & Doris, Beverly Brown, Beth Denton & Anthony, Mike Coleman; grandchildren, Tony Coleman & Edie, Scott Brown & Lauri, Andy Brown and Suzanne, Shannon Brown & Ashley, Wes Brown, Dana Kelley & Jeff, Amy Smith & Bill, Michelle Mathis & Howard, Sammy Denton & Kristin, Shawn Coleman & Amanda, Lindsay Chapman & Patric; 23 Great-Grandchildren, 6 Great-Great-Grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death are her husband, Newton "Newtie" Coleman; son, Sammy Coleman; father, Sam P. Harville; mother, Annie Bell (Parker) Harville.
The family would like to give a heart-felt thanks to all of the staff and supervisors at Forest Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation for all of the kindness and loving care that they provided for Mrs. Rachel the years that she spent there.
