"Mrs. Francis Lauzau, wife of Captain Francis Lauzau, widely known river pilot of early frontier days, died at her home, 352 Sixth street, 25 years ago today, at the age of 76 years. She was the mother of Mrs. James Bengough, Mrs, Anthony Zaleski, Miss Agnes Lauzau, the Rev. Berthold Lauzau of the Carmelite Order, and Walter Lauzau. She was a native of Netherly Ont, and became well-known for her charitable work during her long residence here."
