Alta "Wanita" Lyons, of Westminster and formerly of Eldersburg, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Carroll Hospice Dove House. Born October 5, 1927 in Sylvants, VA, she was the daughter of the late Heath and Bessie Coulson Ogle. She was the beloved wife of Robert William Lyons, Jr. who predeceased her in 1994.

She was a homemaker and a member of Church of the Open Door.

She is survived by her children Roger E. Lyons of Millersville, Robert W. Lyons III of Littlestown and Roy W. Lyons of Pasadena; grandchildren Robert W. Lyons IV, Elizabeth Rollman, Rhonda Gilbreath, Macie N. Lyons and Melissa L. Dohm; great-grandchildren D.J. Gilbreath, Brittany Young, Peyton, Ellie, Carlee, Shelby, Matthew, Morgan and Michael; numerous nieces and nephews; and siblings V. Eugene Ogle, and Bobby Ogle.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by siblings Thelma M. Edwards, Mary J. Vavosori, Edna E. Brooks, Hazel R. Affeldt, Minnie A. Bozman, Annie P. Vain, Cecil M. Ogle, Clinton H. Ogle, Fred O. Ogle, and infant brother Walter G. Ogle.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. John Campbell officiating. Interment will be in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens.
