Marvin Amerine, 78, (formerly of the Great Bend/Ellinwood area), passed away on May 24, 2016 at Midland Hospice in Topeka, KS, following a short bout with cancer.

Marvin was born on March 7, 1938 to William LaVern & Velma (Boyd) Amerine in Great Bend, KS. He graduated from Great Bend High School and married Marilyn Cousins on July 9, 1956 in LaCrosse, KS. She preceded in him in death in December 13, 2012.

Marvin worked for Marlette Mobile Homes, S&H Feeders and most recently for Schlesinger Farms, until he retired and moved to Lecompton.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, his wife & one brother, Clifford Amerine.

He is survived by four sons, Tim, Great Bend, Randall (Ruth), Lecompton, KS, Doug (Melanie), Colorado Springs, CO, Craig (Lou), Lawrence, KS, 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, one brother, Richard, Hoisington and one sister, Joyce, Colorado.

Services will be held at Lakin Commanche Cemetary on Tuesday, May 31st at 11:30.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Midland Hospice in care of Ruth Amerine, 369 N. 1700 Road, Lecompton, KS 66050.
