Funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Elliott's Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Oland Butler, pastor of Fairmont Methodist Church, officiating, assisted by the Rev. C. Richard Smith, pastor of Evangelical Methodist Church and the Rev. Howard Ingram, pastor of Crescent Heights Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Everts was born August 3, 1888, in Coryell County. He was a farmer and rancher for 26 years near Cuthbert. He also ranched at Stanton and Christoval. He moved to Abilene from Christoval in 1970. He married Lillian E. Davis in Colorado City December 10, 1921.
Survivors are his wife; one daughter, Ellen Adams of the home; one grandson, Donald Wayne Adams; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ellis of Lenorah, John of Snyder and Dave of Tarzan; two sisters, Thelma Whitehead of Stanton and Velma Lewis of Durant,Oklahoma.
Nephews will be pallbearers.
