OBITUARIES GENEVIEVE "BEVA" GALLEGOS, 68, of Rio Rancho and formerly of Las Vegas, NM, and Villanueva, died Wednesday. She was bom Nov. I5, 1934, in Canyon Blanco to Felix and Aniceta Gallegos. She was baptized in Villanueva and raised in La Sacatosa by Pedro and Claudina Gallegos. She graduated from Robertson High School. She worked for many years at the State Hospital in Las Vegas. She was a member of La Sociedad Del Sagrado Corazon De Jesus in Villanueva. She was a devout Catholic who read her prayer books and regularly attended church at St. Thomas in Rio Rancho. She was awarded certificates for her work in the church there. She was active at Vista Grande, the retirement center where she resided, and made many friends. She was a very caring and giving person. She will be remembered by all who received a birthday card from her every year. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all her relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by Felix and Aniceta Gallegos; Pedro and Claudina Gallegos; brothers, Marcelino and wife Amalia, Max, Ramon and wife Marcelina, Epifanio, Jose Esquipuls, Albino, and Felix Gallegos Jr.; sisters, Vivianita G. and husband Tranquilino Chavez and sister-in-law, Aurelia Gallegos. She is survived by a brother, Pete Gallegos of Portales; sisters, Angie Jaramillo and husband Ernest of Portales, Eloisa Tapia of Woodward, Okla., and Marcella Archuleta and husband Gregorio of Rowe; very special and dear friends, Lola Flores of Villanueva and Zora Taylor of Rio Rancho; special cousjn Vicky Lopez of Rio Rancho and numerous other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Rogers Mortuary Chapel. Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Villanueva. Burial will follow at the Sena Cemetery.
