Bonnie Cochran

Completed arrangements are being announced for Bonnie Wright Cochran, 83, of Samburg, who died April 3, 2005, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jimmy Calhoun officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery in Hornbeak.

Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 this evening.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Mount Manuel United Methodist Church.

She was born July 2, 1921, in Obion County, daughter of the late Charles Marvin Sorrell and the late Mary Elizabeth (Wright) Sorrell Johnson. She married John F. "Son" Cochran May 3, 1943. He died Oct. 19, 1994. She had been owner and operator of Cochran's Restaurant and Cochran's Guide Service and was a charter member of Reelfoot Lake Waterfowl Festival, an organization she served as secretary.

She attended Mount Manuel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Johnnie Cochran of Samburg and Joe Cochran of Tiptonville; her daughter, Helen Jean Pierce of Samburg; and 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her sister, Helen Bush.
