Anna is the daughter of Frank Veskerna and Elizabeth (Sohl) Veskerna. She was the wife of Rasmus Peter Nelsen and the mother of Violet and Ethel. She lived in her home until age 95, at which time she went into a care center and died there at age 99. She was a salad maker at Lutheran Hospital and also worked at Tip Top curlers. She was quiet, loved card playing and loved chicken wings--her niece, Jeanette, would bring Anna her chicken wings in the care center. She is buried next to her husband and daughter Violet at Mt. Hope in Omaha.
