Obituary for Ann Eudy Granese

Ann Eudy Granese passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019 after a lengthy illness at the age of 87. She was a resident at Christian City for 15 years and Christian City Skilled Nursing for the past year. Ann was born February 12, 1931 in Atlanta, GA to Miles and Elizabeth Eudy. She was a graduate of Brown High School in Atlanta. She married Anthony Joseph “Yankee” Granese in 1949 and together they raised four daughters.

Ann was always an active member in the PTA at her daughters’ schools. She supported all of her daughters’ endeavors, constantly traveling and chaperoning many outings and activities like cheerleading camp.

After she was widowed in 1975, Ann went to work full time for Keebler in 1977, ultimately rising to a position in Line Supervision before retiring in 1992. After her retirement, she enjoyed working part time at Michaels in Fayetteville, visiting with her children and grandchildren, and loved vegetable gardening. Ann was a beloved member of Heatherwood Baptist Church in Riverdale.

She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers, Miles and Dewey.

She is survived by four daughters, Jo Ann Carroll (Mark) of Senoia, Jean Banister of Atlanta, Sharon McDaniel (Tommy) of Newnan, and Crestina Garepian (Thierry) of Simi Valley, CA; eight grandchildren, Joey Swafford, Rachel Paul, Todd Banister, Dana Bailey, Maureen Huddleston, Sarah McDaniel, Jennifer Frisbee, and Nikki Roth; and eight great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Heatherwood Baptist Church, Riverdale with Rev. Doug Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at College Park Cemetery, College Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to Heatherwood Baptist Church, 2195 Hwy 138 SW, Riverdale, GA 30296.
