Leroy "Buck" Raymond Buchholtz passed away surrounded by family on February 7, 2019. He was 82 years old.

Buck was born to Lester and Dorothy Buchholtz on March 4, 1936 in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming.

Buck grew up in Burns, Wyoming with his two brothers, Charles and Robert. He married Irene Holden in 1958, and the couple had five children--Alan, Donny, Patsy, Duke, and Bonnie. In 1970 Buck married Shirley Grimm in Kimball, Nebraska. He later adopted her two sons, Jon and Timothy. In 1978 Buck married Joan Kleven, and welcomed her son John into his family.

Buck worked on ranches in the Pine Bluffs area before moving with Joan to Virginia where he worked for a general contractor, Lambert & Son. In 1997 Buck and Joan retired and moved to Rawlins. For the next 11 years he worked in the warehouse at the Carbon County Senior Center. The ranching bug never left Buck, and he enjoyed many hours at the Glenn addition with his horses and many friends.

He is survived by his children: Donny (Doreen) Buchholtz, and Patsy (Floyd Archuleta) Taylor of Rawlins; as well as Duke (Christine) Buchholtz of Frederick, CO; Bonnie (Mike) Nilsen of Paulsbo, WA; Jon (Karena) Buchholtz of Anchorage, AK; Timothy Grimm of Orlando, FL; and John (Jennifer) Kleven of Richmond, VA. Buck is also survived by his brother Charles (Joyce) Buchholtz, as well as 19 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

Preceding Buck in death were his second wife, Shirley; brother, Robert; son, Alan ;and his third wife, Joan.
