Bopp Funeral Home∼Of Saint Louis, Missouri, passed away suddenly in an automobile accident on Monday, November 27, 2017, at the age of 51.
He is survived by his wife, Melinda Beaman Klinghammer; his children, Samantha Klinghammer and Benjamin Klinghammer; his parents, Jack and Jane Klinghammer; his sister, Mary Klinghammer; his brother, Mike (Dana) Klinghammer; his parents-in-law, Fred and Sharon Beaman; his brothers-in-law, Joe (Sarah) Beaman and Luke (LeeAnn) Beaman; and his nieces and nephews, Jacob Klinghammer, Shelby Klinghammer, Lexi Beaman, Jackson Beaman, Hayden Beaman and Walker Beaman. He is preceded in death by his younger brother, Thomas Klinghammer.
Born on February 9, 1966, in Saint Charles, Missouri, Andy grew up as the third of four children and attended Saint Charles High School. He built his career practicing corporate law and became a partner at Thompson Coburn, the firm he joined immediately following his graduation from the University of Missouri School of Law, where he was an honors graduate and an editor of the Law Review.
While pursuing his undergraduate studies at Central Missouri State University, now University of Central Missouri, Andy was active in the Delta Chi Fraternity and served as the chapter president. There, he met and fell in love with Melinda. The two married in 1990 and raised their children in Des Peres, Missouri.
A loving father, Andy remained actively involved in his children's lives. Evenings and weekends were devoted to them. He coached Ben's junior football and baseball teams and went on to co-found the Midwest Surge youth baseball program in Saint Louis. He and Sam spent evenings curled up on the couch watching TV and movies. The two loved cooking and would experiment with new dishes. The family often vacationed and spent holidays with Melinda's family from Lincoln, Missouri.
Andy was a man of great sincerity, warmth and joy who loved bringing friends and family together through laughter and heartfelt stories. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
