Norma Jean Schoenhoeft, age 84, of Tipton, Indiana, formerly of Vevay, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo, Indiana. Born August 1, 1934 in Switzerland County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Stewart and Edith (Willis) Wood.

Mrs. Schoenhoeft attended high school in Switzerland County where she played softball. She worked as a licensed practical nurse for the National Red Cross in their disaster relief program, and had also worked for the Pinkerton Detective Agency and Dolly Madison Bakeries.

On November 1, 1956, she was united in marriage to Bernard Schoenhoeft, who preceded her in death on September 7, 2010.

She was a member of the Ladies of the Lions Club in Lady Lake, Florida, and was a registered clown with the State of Florida, performing under the name of “Patches.”

She will be sadly missed by one son and daughter-in-law: Del and Eva Schoenhoeft of Tipton;
seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and fourteen brothers and sisters.

At her request, there will be no services.
