Years ago his father passed away. He remained at home with his mother until she passed away just a few years ago.
He leaves one sister, Mrs. Alice McDonald, Sayre Okla., one brother, R. M. Bramlet, Ardmore, Okla., a nephew, John H. McDonald, of Guyman, and a number of other nephew and nieces.
"Uncle John" as he was commonly known to all railroad employees and to his friends, was converted in 1879 and united with the Methodist church of which he has been a faithful member for fifty years. All who know him thought of him as a true and conscientious man.
The funeral servies were held from the methodist church of jGuymon Saturday afternoon with Rev. W. H. Dellinger, the local llpastor in charge, many friends of the McDonalds family being in attendance and following the remains to the Guymon cemetery, where interment was made.
