Edward Carl Messerschmidt was born July 3, 1929 to Edward and Clara Alma Brusch Messerschmidt.He was born in Glyndon and at the age of five he moved to Dilworth.. He spent a lot of his growing up time with his Great Aunt Erna Brusch and Uncle August Keipe. He married June Hanson on June 30 1949.From this union were 4 boys. Dwane, Eugene, Loren and Jerome.
They later divorced. He married Laverne Payseno 3 January 1961. They had a son, William. She died 1968
He was married to Millie Hansen Messerschmidt.
Edward passed away on November 9, 1979 in Fargo, North Dakota.
The service was held on Tuesday November 13, 1979 at 3:00PM by Reverend M. Wilhelm Tolo.

Five brothers, George (Irene Payne) Messerschmidt, Roy (Margaret Kerlin) Messerschmidt, Loren (Mary Wyman) Messerschmidt, Gordon (Tonya Mickelson) Messerschmidt, Robert (Ardyce Osmundson) Messerschmidt, and one sister, Clarene (Edward) Buttenhoff. Eight grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Interment is at the Riverside Cemetery, Glyndon, Minnesota.
