-retired Yonkers policeman, 16 years in the 4th Precinct
-He retired on disability after contracting a respiratory ailment.
-son of the late Fire Captain Patrick Mulcahey and the late Ann Vail Mulcahey
-nephew of the late Fire Chief James J. Mulcahey, organizer of the first paid fire department.
-attended St. Joseph's and Yonkers High Schools.
-Married on 2 June 1928 to Cecilia Brazil who died in 194«.
-married in 1949 the former Genevieve Hurley who survives.
-also survived by son. Robert of Yonkers; a brother, Joseph of Elkhart. Ind., and sisters. Mrs. Daniel (May) Sullivan. Mrs. Agnes Boyle and Mrs. Cecelia Canfield, all of Yonkers.
