A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Friday in the Chapel of Tyro United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Foster officiating and burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday night.
Carolyn was born on April 19, 1940 to William Augustus Boger and Mattie Flynn Boger. She was a former employee of Mecklenburg County Tax Office, Northwest Guilford High School and retired from National Wholesale. Her favorite job was being a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished her family and loved them deeply. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Ashley Flynn Brown in 1999 and two brothers, William Boger and infant Joseph Boger.
Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Franklin R. Brown of the home; daughters, Robin Brown Craft (Roger) of Kannapolis and Leslie Brown Trullinger (Alex) of Greensboro; 5 grandchildren, Joshua David Hudson of CO, Sarah Hudson Spencer and Grace Anne Hudson both of Kernersville, Solomon and Matthew Young both of Lexington and 9 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hinkle Hospice House, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
