---Elizabeth “Betty Lou” Bane, 86, of Macon, MO, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at the University Hospital in Columbia, MO.
---Betty Lou was born on December 8, 1932, in Flagler, CO, the daughter of Merlin Roy and Tressie (Boring) Shaffer. She was united in marriage to Arthur Bane on September 14, 1950. Betty Lou was a member of the Crossroads Christian Church of Macon. She worked alongside her husband on the farm and sold Studio Girl and Avon products. Betty Lou enjoyed listening to music, dancing, and her bible study group at the church. As a child Betty Lou had Polio and was told she should not have children, so having a big loving family was everything to her. Betty Lou never met a stranger and always had a smile on her face.
---Betty Lou is survived by her five children, Roy Bane and his wife Debbie of Elmer, MO, Connie Petre and her husband Donnie of Macon, MO, Darcy Selby and her husband Larry of Macon, MO, Roddy Bane and his wife Janice of LaPlata, MO, and Bryan Bane and his wife Crissy of LaPlata, MO; her grandchildren, Austin Bane and his wife Tanya, Roddy Grahlen and his wife Amy, Scott Barney and his wife Julie, Dayla Botts and her husband Stevie, Ashlee Skaggs and her husband Ryan, Niki Petre, Jacki Petre, Kelcy Snarr and her husband Jason, Stacy Brann and her husband Jake, Justine Bane, Jeana Bane, Cordel Bane, and Keane Bane; great-grandchildren, Madison, Wyatt, McKenna, Kierra, Kinsley, Kimber, Kolby, James, Clayton, Rylee, Easton, Abrielle, Skyln, Alivia, Eston, Kenna, Sydney, Trysten, Lydea, Ayden, Logan, and Laney; and one great-great-grandchild, Paisley. She is also survived by one sister, Evelyn; brother-in-law, Wilbur; uncle, Roy Jr.; and a special friend, Bob.
---She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and grandson, Troy Selby.
---Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Elliott Funeral Home in Atlanta, MO with Rev. Matt Steiger officiating. Burial will be in the Indian Hill Cemetery near Gifford, MO. Visitation will be Saturday, from 1:00 until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorials to the Shiloh Christian Children’s Ranch.
