Elizabeth "Betty" Irene Vaughan, 83, of Raleigh, NC, died Saturday. Betty was the daughter of Irving and Thelma Pettitt Casler; she was the wife of the late Conner Moore Vaughan who died May 29, 1985. Betty and her late husband started the Youth Bowling Program at the former Imperial Lanes in East Syracuse. She was born in Syracuse and had lived in East Syracuse before moving to Raleigh in 1978. She was predeceased by a sister, Aleta Gedney; and sons-in-law, Freeman "Mike" Storrs and John Watkins. Services: Thursday at 1 p.m. at Delaney-Greabell-Adydan Funeral Home, 241 Kinne St., East Syracuse. Burial at White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt. Calling Hour: 12 Noon to 1 p.m. prior to the service. Contributions may be made in Betty's memory to one's favorite charity.
