Ardmore Rites Planned Today For T. A. Upton

ARDMORE, March 2

Funeral will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in Bettes chapel for Thomas Andrew Upton, 81, who died Monday. A retired farmer, Upton was born in Huntsville, Ark., March 2. 1874. He came to Carter county in 1935, and farmed southeast of Ardmore until 1944 when he moved here. He was a Baptist. Survivors include four sons, Lee, Ardmore, Lloyd and Thomas, Modesto Calif.; Luther. Arkansas City. Kan.; one daughter, Mrs. H. D. Allman. Tulsa; three stepsons, W. D. Vernon and Charles Vernon, Modesto, Nakes L. Vernon, Ardmore: two stepdaughters, Mrs. Edna Robison, Siloam Springs, Ark., and Mrs. Hazel Pollard, Norman; two brothers, Joseph, of Clayton and Matthew, Washington, Okla.; three sisters. Mrs. Susan Lenser and Mrs. Sinda Booze Asher and Mrs. Atlas Casey, Claremore. 24 grandchildren and five great Grandchildren.
