Son of 'Lert' Ballard and Martha Blakeslee Ballard, husband of Anna Washburn Tidd. A graduate of Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia in 1894, Dr. Ballard was a physician who practiced medicine in Troy, Pa. for 63 years in the same House on Elmira St. He never remarried after his wife died. He was one of the most respected citizens in the county and his funeral was attended by hundreds of people. He was the father of Helen Tidd Ballard and Richard Blakeslee Ballard.
