Funeral services for Mary Russell, 67, a long-time Hereford resident will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2019, at Nazarene Family Church, with the Reverend Ted Taylor, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in West Park Cemetery under the personal supervision of Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. Mrs. Russell passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019, in Hereford.
Mary Katherine Coggin was born August 9, 1951 in Borger, Texas to Bill and Winnifred (Matthews) Coggin. She attended Borger Schools, graduating from Borger High School in 1970. Mary attended West Texas State University. She met and fell in love with Terry Russell, they later married in Borger on May 30, 1970. Mary was the BEST grandma in the world. She loved and served the LORD. Mary always had a positive attitude about everything.
The legacy she leaves are her husband of nearly 49 years, Terry Russell of Hereford, one son David Russell and wife Rebecca of Lubbock, one daughter Jeanine Russell of Phoenix, Arizona, one brother John Coggin of Sequin, Texas and grandchildren, Declyn Ramirez, Michael Russell, Chase Russell and Jayden Rains. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Duane Coggin, Thelma McDonald, Willie Coggin and Larry Coggin.
The family suggests memorials in Mrs. Russell’s name be made to Hereford Senior Citizens Association 426 Ranger Dr. Hereford, Texas 79045.
