Winona Mae Replogle was born May 1, 1921, and on Aug 3, 1940, she married Elmo Leon Ritter. She lived most all of her life in Alfalfa County. She was born to Viola Mae Masters Replogle and Wiley Iredale Replogle. Winona had 10 brothers and sisters.
Winona and Elmo had six children: Wanda Darlene Ritter Price, Jimmie Ray Ritter, Richard Lee Ritter, Linda Sue Ritter Stratton, Janice Meryln Ritter Watts and Douglas Allen Ritter (d. infant 12/12/1962). She had 7 grandchildren at the time of her death (Lisa, Leslie, Marc & Lori Price (Darlene's children), Patrick Ritter (Jim's child), and Jeanette & Brian Schwerdtfeger (Richard & Faye's children). After Winona's passing she had these additional grand-children: Tanya, Krystal, & Ann Ritter (Jim), Heather & John Stratton (Linda), and Adam, Clark, & Whitney Watts (Janice). Winona has these great- grandchildren in 2021: Olivia & Matteo Corneto; Bella, Myles, & Leila Dawson (Darlene's grandchildren); Ester, Adam, Jason, Anna Grace, Maddie, Cammie, Tristan, Hannah, and Layla, (Jim's grandchildren); Elliott (Linda's grandson); Temple Clementine (Jan's grand daughter).
Winona had five brothers and five sisters (Johnny, Juanita, Russell, Pauline, Maxine, Gerald, Cleo, Lowell, JoAnn and Keith Replogle).
Winona loved her siblings and adored her children & grand-children. Winona was loved by all in return! She was fun, kind, loving, and had great compassion for others. She was the "favorite aunt" of many of her nieces and nephews. She was a great Mom! She died too young (53). We miss her everyday and she is forever in our hearts.
