Harold F. Beetler, 75, of Yates City died Friday, Sept. 17, 1999, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

Born Nov. 30, 1923, in Elmwood to Fred and Louise Learned Beetler, he married Leila Louise Hauk on Oct. 14, 1951, in Brimfield. She survives. Also surviving are one son, Harold Jr. of Yates City; two daughters, Mrs. James (Karen) Giles of Brimfield and Mrs. Kerwin (Marilyn) Negley of Canton; three brothers, Donald of Oneida, Robert of Chiloquin, Ore., and Holland of Altona; and two sisters, Barbara Woldarski of Trivoli and Lois Mayer of Indianapolis.

One infant daughter, Eileen, and two sisters preceded him in death.

He was a World War II Marine Corps veteran, serving in the Pacific Theater.

He was a pastor of Brunswick Community Church near Trivoli and retired from carpentry and farming.

Burial will be in Brunswick Cemetery in rural Trivoli.
