Norman Meredith Baker, 54 went to be with his heavenly father on January 30, 2019, after a lengthy illness.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Bethesda Southern Methodist Church Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Born October 5, 1964, he was the son of Leonard Preston Baker, Sr. and Miriam Kate-James Wise Baker. He graduated from Latta High School in 1982 in the top of his class making A’s and B’s, and his classmates called him Stormin Norman. He loved to play the guitar with his brothers and the Oak Grove Band with his cousins Tommy Byrd and Allen Crowley, he had a dash hound puppy named Sparky he loved to play with, and he graduated from the Tool & Die Program at Florence-Darlington Technical College .

Survivors include his brothers Christopher Gordon Baker and Lindsey Francis Baker.

He was preceded in death by his parents listed above; older brothers, Leonoard Preston Baker, Jr. and Aubrey Wise Baker; and his grandparents, Neil Walker Wise, Sr. and Bessie Weatherford Wise; Paul Fredrick Baker and Mary Friedolph Baker.
