James Albert Atkinson, 91, moved to Woodson, Texas in 1914. He had farmed in the area a number of years.

Survived by two sons - Alvin Atkinson and Duke Atkinson; one daughter - Mrs. Nathan Whitaker; one sister - Mrs. Emma Gardner; 16 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in the Woodson School gymnasium.
