James had a stroke, fell onto a stove and received 3rd. degree burns on his left side and his back. Official cause of death was Cerebral Apoplexy. The 1930 census says he was widowed but the death certificate says he was divorced. It appears the later is true as Susan lived till 1974 using her previously married name of Lewis. James died in the old Utah County Infirmary.
