Mildred F. Kenney, 92, Rocky Comfort, MO, died at 1:20 p.m., Wed., May 30, 2007 at an area nursing home, following several years of Alzheimer's disease. She was born Nov. 28, 1914, in Stella, Mo, to George and Ola (Phillips) Mahan.
Mildred was a lifelong area resident and a homemaker. She was a member of the Union Methodist Church and the Success Extension Club. Her greatest joy was cooking for her family, extended family, and friends. Her home was always open.
Mildred and Claud J. Kenney were married April 15, 1933, in Pineville, MO. He preceded her in death in 1980.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Clapper, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Mildred is survived by her children, Charles Kenney & his wife, Deanna, Ronnie Kenney & his wife, Linda, Janice Shewmake & her husband, Dan, Stanley Kenney & his wife, Sally, Jerry Kenney & his wife, Donna, and Debbie Kenney., 17 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
