Born to Earl Bacon and Etta Stump Bacon on November 16, 1915 at Redfield, South Dakota. Served in the United States Navy from August 12, 1943 to December 15, 1945. Married Milford Barnes on July 1, 1951 at Redfield. Survived by one son, one daughter, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; one sister, Alice Bacon of Lebanon, Oregon and one brother, George Bacon of Redfield. Preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, Margaret and Mabel and one brother, Elbert.

Buried at Tulare Cemetery on February 12, 2003.
