Not much is known about James M. Bryant, son of John Bryant Jr. and Cenia/Sena Bryant. He is my GG Granduncle. I created this memorial mainly to clarify that this James is NOT James Morgan Bryant (1845-1889), husband of Eliza Jane Robertson, because people are prone to get them confused and mis-connect their family trees. Nor is he James Franklin Bryant (James F. Bryant) or James Samuel Bryant (James S. Bryant).
This James' middle name is unknown, but since it starts with M, and because Marion is a very common middle name in this family line, it may well have been Marion.
There's a discrepancy between the 1850 and 1870 census records as to whether he was born in KY or VA. I went with KY since that's what the earlier census says. His mother may have been born in VA.
