The former Patricia O'Connell was born April 6, 1927, in Rock Island, the daughter of Lawrence and Maude O'Connell. She married Robert Hale in 1951, in Rock Island.
She attended Knox College, Galesburg.
Survivors include the widower; a son, Robert Jr., Los Angeles, Calif.; two grandchildren; and sisters, Timmie Smith, Tampa, and Frances MacDonnell, Tulsa, Okla.
