Elizabeth G. Bartholomew, 95, of Lancaster died on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at Homestead Village. Born in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of Harry and Elizabeth Keneagy Grabill and was married to the late Freddie Bartholomew who died in 1992.

She graduated from West Chester University with a Bachelors degree in Music and received her Masters Degree from Montclair University. Elizabeth also attended Juilliard Music School in New York. Elizabeth was a public school music teacher who began her career by teaching in Salisbury Township, Lancaster, Warren, and Erie, Pennsylvania. Elizabeth later taught in Bogota, New Jersey where she served as President of the Teachers Association and had earlier served as the President of the Harrington School PTA in Livingston, New Jersey, where she was also chairman of the town wide Parents Association. She sang in the ProArt Chorale at Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall in New York. Elizabeth was a long time member of St. Paul's Church and has been a member of the Church of the Apostles in Lancaster since taking up residence in Homestead Village 15 years ago.

Elizabeth is survived by two sons: Meryl, husband of Luanne Ruoss of Bakersfield, CA, Eric, husband of Linda Ruoss of Wilmington, DE, a daughter, Beth, wife of Jack Theuret of Carson City, NV, a stepson, Frederick Bartholomew of Tampa, FL and two step daughters: Kathleen Yetto, of Florida and Celia Rosen of New York City, nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be announced for a later date.
