Born in Fayette County, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Mack Ewing and has been a resident of Raleigh County for the past 50 years and a member of the Church of God.
Her Husband Whorley Adkins preceded her in death in 1946.
She is survived by two sons, Arnold and Clyde Adkins, both of Grandview; four daughters, Mrs. Gertie Morton, Grandview, Mrs Emma Martin, Lillybrook, Mrs Eunice Adkins, Grandview; one brother Lewis Ewing, of Charleston; one sister, Mrs. Alice Martin, Oak Hill, and a number of grandchildren.
The body will remain at the Calfee Funeral Home until 4 p.m. today when it will be removed to the residence of her son, Arnold Adkins, Grandview.
Funeral services will be conducted from the residence of her son at 2 p. m. Sunday with the Rev. Paul Smith officiating and burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
