She grew up living in various places around the Grand Rapids, MN area, attending elementary and high school in Grand Rapids. Juanita graduated 12th grade from Maplewood Academy, Hutchinson, MN and then earned a bachelor of science in nursing degree from Union College, Lincoln, NE. She was working in Boulder, CO when she met William Goff, who was working on an army base. They were married in 1952, lived in Spokane, WA for a short while, later settling in Grand Rapids, where Juanita worked in the hospital. Over the years, they raised seven children, ran Bill’s Greenhouse, and Juanita continued working at the hospital. She served in the medical-surgical unit, obstetrics, as supervisor and emergency room nurse, and ended her 44-year career working in obstetrics. Juanita enjoyed attending church at Blackberry Seventh Day Adventist Church, she crocheted many beautiful blankets and sweaters, maintained beautiful vegetable and flower gardens, and enjoyed riding her horse.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband William.
Juanita is survived by her sister, Joyce (Fred) Gray; children: Carol (Victor) Penrosa, Nancy Goff and Ed Rumbaugh, Ronald (Cheryl) Goff, Mary Goff, Kathleen Goff-Harmon, Patricia (John) Reszetylo, Rebecca (James) Wilkins; grandchildren; Sara Nicholson, James Goff and Jonathan Goff, Renee Goff and Nina Conrad, Tracy, Kristen, and Nicole Harmon, Elim and Cynrick Reszetylo, Jamie and Nathaniel Wilkins; and nine great grandchildren.
Burial will be at Hazelwood Cemetery, Blackberry Township, Minnesota at a later date.
