Janet Gayle Fullerton (nee Bruce), 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 in her home under the care of her loving family with gracious assistance from Home Hospice Western Reserve. Janet was born January 31, 1940 and grew up in Oberlin and Wellington. She later lived in Elyria for several years before making Avon Lake her home.

In her career, she was known as a reliable go to person performing several administrative roles. She worked for Basic Packaging and E.H. Roberts/All Service, before contributing several years to Forthofer Sound and Security, where she retired in 2004.

Janet had a passion for many things and always strived to be her best in any situation. She could balance career, running a home, being a mother and having a social life like no other. In her early years, she enjoyed golf, bowling and belonged to several organizations. In her later years, she excelled at and enjoyed playing bridge with her friends, belonging to several bridge clubs. She also had a lifelong love of animals, from her pet goat as a child to her many cats and dogs over the years. Her cats, Sushi and Sally were by her side until she passed. Most beloved of them all was her Schipperke "Kipper" that passed on in 2013.

Janet's ease of conversation, charm and quick wit left a positive impression on everyone. She will be deeply missed by all that had the pleasure to know her.

She is survived by her three sons, Don Gibbins (Luana) of Avon Lake, Gregg Gibbins (Dawn) of Vermilion, T. Cary Sugaski (Lisa) of Westlake; siblings, Bonnie Stevens of Wellington, Roger Bruce (Carol) of The Villages, Florida; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three nieces and three nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Milton Bruce and mother, Amy Bruce (Wolfe).

Per Janet's wishes, there will be a private celebration of life at a future date.

She also requested that no donations be made and to simply cherish good memories of her.
