Fred A. Keefer, 1253 First Ave., a retired farmer and a Cedar Rapids resident 43 years, died at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday following a brief illness. He was born in Ogle county, Illinois and was married to Lillian Frazee January 16, 1902, at Princeton, Illinois.

Surviving are his wife; two daughers, Mrs. L. D. Wolff of Minneapolis and Mrs. Leighton R. Niles of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Jesse, of Denver, and a sister, Mrs. Elson Thomas of Strathmore, Calif. Mr. Keefer was a member of the Church of the Brethren.

Services: at 1:30 p.m. in Turner chapel by the Rev. Russell Burris. Burial Cedar Memorial.
