Maurice Neal Hill, age 77, the son of Elmer Warren and Helen Belle [Hartley] Hill, was born January 1, 1929 in Decatur County, Iowa. He died at his home in Leon, Iowa surrounded by his devoted wife and loving family on Monday, February 6, 2006.
On June 4, 1946 Maurice married Darlene Mae Young at Atchison, Kansas. Three children were born to this union.
Maurice lived most all of his life in Decatur County, doing what he loved - farming.
He was saved and baptized and became a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He treasured life and relied on his faith in God to help him through his final days, being confined to his home in the last six months. Throughout their married life, Maurice and Darlene enjoyed dancing, playing cards, and family time.
