He moved to Denver in 1943 where he graduated from East High School in 1948 and received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Denver in 1952. Tina and Frank were active dancers in the Boulder area and were members of the Rhythm Reelers, Scootbacks, and Star Prowlers square dance clubs and the Boulder Rounders round dance club. They also enjoyed ballroom and country line dancing.

In 1991 he was a founding member of St. Luke Orthodox Church in Lafayette (now in Erie) where he served 25 years on the Parish Council and worked with the architect and contractor in the design and building of their first church on Stonehenge Drive.
