Virginia M. Schott Millar, "Ginny", passed away peacefully, Dec. 26, 2018 after a very brief illness. A former Oregon City, Ore., resident for 70 plus years, was currently residing in Chandler, Ariz., after moving there in 2014 to be closer to her daughter's family. Ginny was employed at the City of Oregon City, Water Department for 24 1/2 years and maintained her home on Harding Blvd. for 60 years.
After moving to Arizona, she enjoyed her independent living apartment at the Gardens of Ocotillo where she met many new friends. She kept busy and involved with daily activities and loved the daily sunshine.
Ginny is survived by her daughter, Wendy and son-in-law, David Wesley; three grandchildren, Lindsay and Ryan Rothermund, Joshua and Dawn Wesley, Chris and Justine Millar; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Millar; and four great-grandchildren, Cole and Charlotte Rothermund and Lewis and Henry Millar. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth A. Millar; and son, Gregory K. Millar.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, Jan. 25, 2019, at the Abernathy Chapel, with a reception following, from 2:30 - 6 p.m., 606 15th Street, Oregon City, OR. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to Hospice of the Valley, Dobson Home, in memory of Virginia Millar, 1188 N. Dobson Road, Chandler, AZ 85224.
