Joseph Dee Ott, 82 of Knoxville, TN was called Home by the Lord on Saturday, January 12, 2019. He was a longtime member of Tarklin Valley Baptist Church.

Joe was a hard worker, dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He was a proud US Army veteran who served with the Military Police, stationed in Germany. Joe was the owner of East Tennessee Painting Contractors. He loved to build homes, listen to gospel music and sang in a quartet.

Joe was preceded in death by parents, Johnny and Goldie Ott; brothers, David, Homer, Junior, and Curtis Ott.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Billie Rhea Ott; children, Kathy (Jimmy) Jackson, Charlene (Jerry) Sexton, Joseph Dee (Tiffany) Ott Jr., Cindy (Bruce) Powell; grandchildren, Ericka (Yuya) Ishida, Rachel (Eric) Fritts, Jenna Ott, Allison Ott, Valerie (Andrew) Boyles; great grandchildren, Rin Ishida, Sena Ishida, Brayden Boyles, Maria Boyles, Ella Fritts, Eli Fritts; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, January 16th from 5-7pm at Berry Highland South on Simpson Road with funeral service following at 7pm with Rev. Danny Cochran officiating. Burial will be private at Berry Highland South Cemetery.
