Born in Davie County, NC; he was the son of the late Charles McKinley Davis, Sr. and Bethania Queen Davis and the widower of Hazel Pauline White Davis who died Sept. 20, 2018. He was also preceded in death by sister, Marian.
He served in the U.S. Army and also served with the Military Honor Guard for the funeral an memorial services of his fellow Veterans. He was a retired truck driver with Hennis Truck Lines and was a member of Turrentine Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sons, Charles Davis of Rocky Point, NC; and James Davis of Salisbury, NC; a sister, Helgia Johnson of Mocksville, NC; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
