Children - Frank Augustus Hardy, Louisa Caroline Hardy, Ernest Verrinder Hardy

OBITUARY - The Manti Messenger, Friday 25 September 1896.

DIED - Louisa Caroline Farnsworth Hardy, died Saturday morning, Sept. 19th, at 11:35. Deceased was the daughter of Moses F. Farnsworth and Elizabeth Jane Stewart, and wife of Ernest V. Hardy of Manti. She was born June 8th, 1865, in Salt Lake City. She had poor health for 10 years, and for the last five years has been almost an invalid. Her last illness commenced July 31st, and continued until it ended her mortal career.

Funeral services were held at the residence Monday, 10 o'clock a.m. A large concourse of friends and relatives paid their last respects and the floral offerings were numerous and beautiful. The choir sang "Nearer my God to thee," Sister, thou was mild and lovely," and "Sweet rest in Heaven." The speakers were Presidents J. D. T. McAllister, J. B. Maiben, Bishop W. T. Reid and J. H. Hadskow. The remarks from each were impressive and most heartfelt.

Deceased was a true Christian. She knew God and his Son Jesus Christ, and was fully prepared to go. Among her last expressions after bidding the family and friends good buy, were "How long, how long, must I knock?" Soon the answer came, "He says I may come. All right, all right. Amen, Amen." And soon after "I am dying, now," and passed away with a most heavenly smile and happy expression on her countenance. She is sure of a great reward among the just, and when the books are opened, and her name is called, there will be one bright page where the chapter of her inner life is written.

Numerous letters and telegrams of condolences were received by the family from relatives and friends who were unable to attend the funeral. May she rest in peace, one greatly beloved, for to knew her was to love her. She leaves a husband, three lovely children, father, mother, brother and sisters, and a host of relatives and friends everywhere to mourn her loss.
