Nan A. Mitchell was born December 7th, 1932 in Houston, Tx to parents Don and Edna Crowder. She met the love of her life Melvin F. Mitchell in Lubbock, Tx and had two wonderful children Martha and David Mitchell. The family then found their way to Garland, Tx in 1968. Nan passed away peacefully of natural causes on the morning of January 4th, 2019, at the age of 86, With open arms and full hearts Nan was greeted by her parents Don and Edna Crowder, sister Laura Yates, husband Melvin Mitchell, and daughter Martha Rockwell which preceded her in death.
Nan is survived by son David Mitchell and wife Mona Mitchell, 4 grandchildren Mandy Spaeth, John Mitchell, Miquela Burnett, and Lisa Rockwell, along with 9 great grandchildren.
Nan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend! We all love and miss you so much Nannie!
Visitation for Nan will be held at Williams Funeral Directors on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 6-8 PM at Williams Funeral Directors. Services will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 12:00 noon at Mesquite Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 819 N. Town East Blvd in Mesquite, Texas. Graveside services will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery; then the church and family invites friends to join them at the church for luncheon and fellowship
