Manuel Atwell Services today
Manuel Atwell, 79, of 614 Elm Street, Niceville, died Saturday morning at Fort Walton Beach hospital. He was a native of this area and a retired forest ranger. He was a member the East Pensacola Heights Baptist church.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Monday from the McLaughlin Mortuary chapel, Rev. F. R. Herlong conducting. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann Atwell, two daughters, Carolyn Deitrich, and Dorothy Simpson; two sons, Everett Atwell, and George Atwell; a brother, Danny Atwell of Moss, Tenn., and nine grandchildren.
The active pall bearers are Walker Spence, Noah Corbin, William Herndon, Arthur W. Howell, C. B. Hawkins, and Lloyd Weeks. The honorary pallbearers are Watson Hodge, Everett Spencer. Cecil Chesser, Wilbur Earley, Malcolm Allen, John Stephens, Alvin A. Frazier, Richard Edwards, Charley Parmalee, Rabe Gibson, Dr. H.C. White, and Dr. J.C. Wilson.
