While looking for my grandfather's death date, I ran across this Memorial. Although I realized this is NOT my relative, ALL Veterans hold a place in my heart, so I've researched and discovered exactly 'who' this Veteran is.
John Henry Daniel
born July 28, 1896 in Hays, Texas
died (you have the correct date) in Williamson County, Texas
UNITED STATES NAVY, SEAMAN 2ND CLASS
Son of James H. Daniel and Sarah P. Daniel, of Virginia. His father was James Henry Daniel, mother SALLIE Pickett-Daniels (Sarah was the step-mother)
["Sally/Sallie" was often an affectionate nickname for Sarah. Since Sallie P. died in 1946, I see no reason to assume that "Sallie Pickett" and "Sarah P." were two different people. :) - Roxy Triebel]
Brother to:
Emma J born April 1886
Carry I born August 1887
Andrew W born February 1891
Lizzie U born October 1893
Roy O Daniel
Bailey M Daniel
Yes, he was a Fireman. I obtained his Military Info and birth date from the Headstone application his father James H. Daniel submitted, where it also states he was a Fireman. I also referenced his Military Application that matches his birth and identifies his father as his next of kin.
Feel free to link him to his father's Memorial here on Find-A-Grave # 19591686
Bless you for taking the time and making the effort to post all of these Memorials. I wish I could do it too, but I can't, so I try to contribute in other ways when I can.

Surprisingly they don't state a "cause" of death on the FamilySearch.org nor Ancestry.com sites
[Death certificate found on Ancestry.com states John Henry Daniel died in Round Rock from "asphyxiation and shock from electrocution - instantly." For occupation, it says "electric light man - lineman." - Roxy Triebel]
FamilySearch.org is generally more detailed then Ancestry. They list his birth as in "Kyle, Texas" and his death in Round Rock, Williamson, Texas. I think Williamson County, Texas is sufficient because the Cemetery is in Round Rock, and the last residence was Taylor, Williamson. I think the "safe" side is the County, since they're both the same.
No, I don't mind you identifying my Member# :-)
Blessings,
Sandi
