Travis was the oldest of the seven Winberg brothers. He managed the Toledo Scale Company franchises in Beaumont, TX (circa 1944-1950), Dallas, TX (circa 1950-1955), and Houston, TX (circa 1955-1968). Travis was the patriarch of the Winberg family following his father's death and until his own death in 1991. Travis, and his brother Nolan, developed & marketed a Weights & Measurements Truck used by the Texas Highway Department for calibrating motor truck scale weigh stations. The Oak Bluff Memorial Park Cemetery was once a farm and childhood home to Travis' spouse Willie Mae "Billie" Block Winberg. Travis was a Free Mason.
